Why Las Vegas Roofing Leads the Industry in Solar Roof Installation

In the solar roof installation industry, Las Vegas Roofing is at the forefront. Our team consists of highly skilled professionals who bring not only years of experience but also a considerable amount of knowledge to the table when it comes to solar roofing. Every project we undertake turns out to be a very high-quality finished product, mainly due to the innovative methods we employ as well as the state-of-the-art tools we use to get the job done correctly. But what really sets us apart from the competition is the way we take care of the customer.

The reasons we succeed at installing solar roofs are twofold. First, we have a profound and detailed understanding of the unique climate and environment of Las Vegas. Second, we have developed specialized solutions that are tailored to meet the intense heat and sunlight of the desert. Our roofing materials are selected to be durable and energy-efficient; we continuously research and implement new advancements in solar technology. Because of our expertise in local building codes and regulations, we also guarantee a smooth project execution from start to finish.

The industry leadership of Las Vegas Roofing is further enhanced by our emphasis on sustainability and environmental responsibility. Throughout our operations, we prioritize eco-friendly practices. When it comes to the materials we work with and the installations we perform, we choose renewables over traditional energy sources. For example, all the solar roofing systems we install are "Grid Direct," meaning they feed power to the electrical grid without relying on harmful fossil fuels. Not only do our solar roofs provide our clients with substantial savings by reducing both their "electric bill" and their "carbon bill" (the amount of CO2 emitted), but all the community and public installations we put in place generate highly visible opportunities for "renewable energy education."

For over three decades, I have called Las Vegas home, and in that time, I have never met a more dependable roofing contractor. When the roof of my aged mother's home needed urgent repairs, I was, to say the least, concerned about the process of finding trustworthy professionals to do the job. Yet, Las Vegas Roofing Company turned out to be just the right fit. From start to finish—without any express or implied warranty—they took care of my mother and her roofing needs with extreme care and patience. As a property manager responsible for a large apartment complex, I have had to interact with many roofing companies. Standing above them all is Las Vegas Roofing. They approached our commercial roofing job with awesome skill and coordination. They finished ahead of schedule and under budget. I have never seen such vigor and enthusiasm in a work crew. They must be well led; there is always evidence of good leadership when you see a construction crew working like this one did. If there is any kind of roof on our property in the future that needs fixing or if there is any new kind of roofing job, we will definitely use Las Vegas Roofing.

When it was finally necessary to change the roof on our family residence, we were presented with a plethora of alternatives. Las Vegas Roofing truly simplified this process for us. A representative of the company took us through the many choices—each one a viable option, but some better suited to our home than others. We settled on a choice of color and texture. The installation team was prompt and worked well together. They respected our property and left the job site cleaner than they found it. The most spectacular part of the job was that they took extra care to ensure that the rose bushes in front of our house were not damaged—a necessity since those roses are our pride and joy. The new roof looks great, and I have no doubt that it will perform well even under the harshest conditions that the Vegas sun can dish out.

As an architect, I have very particular standards for construction work on my own home. Las Vegas Roofing met and surpassed my expectations. Their understanding of state-of-the-art roofing technology impressed me. They executed my design for a modern, energy-efficient roof flawlessly. Every detail reflected the crew's skill, from the precision of the installation to the immaculate cleanup. They were able to smooth over several last-minute design changes without any hitch. The roof is both functional and beautiful. I've recommended Las Vegas Roofing to clients already, and I will continue to do so.

I am very impressed with the work done by Las Vegas Roofing. When a sudden leak developed during a rare desert downpour, they were at my house within a few hours. They quickly found the problem and had it fixed in short order. Their efficiency was remarkable. They explained everything to me in "normal people" terms and kept me up to date every step of the way. I already have recommended them to my neighbors and will call them again if I have any roofing needs.

Our Unique Approach to Solar Roof Installation

Every roof can be an energy powerhouse, and that's what we believe at Solar Innovations. Our approach to solar roofing is instilled with this very philosophy. Why? Because roof-mounted solar energy systems can be viable energy sources just about anywhere. They're just right for homes in a number of locations across the country, from the sunnier southwest to the less sunny (but still sunny enough) northeast. The key, mostly, is having roof mounts that face or are near south. (East and west are also good.) Pitched roofs are better (and even gable roofs!). But flat roofs can work—especially if you think 'solar shade' for the summer and 'southern exposed solar heater' for the winter.

Whereas traditional solar installers might only concern themselves with the installation of solar panels, we take a more integrated, "whole roof" approach. Our primary installers, led by a foreman, have a combined 23 years of solar installation experience and 19 years of roofing experience. These journeymen not only understand how to make a solar roof work but also how to make it last. They use high-grade modern materials and roof techniques that are, quite frankly, far better than what most "normal" roofers use. And there's a reason for that: Your roof is one of the most important structures of your home. It protects you and your family from the elements; it should be energy-efficient, and it certainly should be aesthetically appealing. With our solar roofs, we make sure that no matter what kind of solar panels we use, it kind of looks like they're not there.

Our innovation doesn't stop with the installation. We use a proprietary system to monitor the performance of your solar roof in real-time. If anything goes awry, we fix it quickly, long before it could have become an actual problem. We also provide you with a level of education about your solar roof that is quite uncommon in our industry. You will know how to manage your solar roof, just as you would know how to manage your finances after having taken an investment course. The performance data that we and you will use to "manage" your solar roof will be in good part the "currency" of our conversation. And our conversation will happen over the "lifetime" of your solar roof.

Tailored Solar Roof Installation for Every Need

An increasingly popular choice among homeowners and businesses wanting to lessen their carbon footprint and lower their energy costs, solar energy has become a go-to solution. At our company, we understand that when it comes to solar roof installations, no two properties are alike. That's why we don't offer a one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, we provide tailored solar roof installations designed specifically for each client—to meet their needs, that is, and their wants, too, when they're not in conflict with the first set. Our team of professionals carefully assesses each property in conjunction with the client's energy usage patterns and their budget. By doing so, we create a customized solar solution.

We take great pride in using the latest technological advancements and superior materials to effect the durability and performance of your solar roof installation over time. Our technicians are well versed in the most current installation methods and safety protocols, which ensures a simple integration into your existing roof structure. We offer a large range of solar panel solutions—from aesthetically pleasing rooftop panels to performance-driven solar shingles—that fit different tastes and intensity requirements. We also deliver a monitoring solution that allows you to keep track of how much energy your solar roof is generating at any moment. From start to finish, and covering everything from the simple consultation to post-installation support, your solar roof investment is something we want to ensure has the highest return possible.

If you have a choice, installing a solar roof that is fitted to your specific situation can save you the most money and give you the most benefits. It ensures that you take full advantage of all the provisions of solar law that can save you money; these are obviously too detailed to go into here. Energy use in this country is tied up in so many incentives and disincentives that it is hard to find your way through to the clean, easy energy source that a solar roof can provide—unless you have a contractor who knows the local, state, and federal laws. You want a contractor who knows the ins and outs of the law—from all levels—as well as how to install the roof in the way that will, again, take the most advantage of the law.

The Las Vegas Roofing Difference in Solar Roof Installation

Expertise in Solar Integration

With unmatched experience, Las Vegas Roofing handles solar roof installations with ease. Our certified installation team understands the complex task of integrating solar panels with standard roofing systems. We ensure that the solar roof system is as structurally sound as a conventional roof and that, in terms of energy production, it is far superior.

Custom Solutions for Nevada's Climate

We create solar roof solutions curbed to the unique needs of Las Vegas' brutal desert climate. Our setups consider not just the living moisture of the intense summer heat, but also the possibility of high winds and the rare but severe downpours that desert residents sometimes endure. If you can call it an "installation," we handle it "custom." And in our experience, that's the only way to ensure any longevity or performance of such systems in our area's extreme conditions.

Comprehensive Service Package

A fully enabling experience for solar roofing installations is what Las Vegas Roofing provides. From the outset, when a customer first expresses interest, we handle every aspect of the project. This includes consultations and design, installation, and what we like to call "maintaining contact." We even help with the paperwork, both for the customer and ourselves.

Quality Materials and Warranties

The solar shingles and roof-integrated solar systems we install are made by top-tier manufacturers. We have well-established partnerships with leading producers of solar roof products, which allows us to provide our customers with long and comprehensive warranties that cover both the installed materials and the workmanship that went into the installation.

How long does it take to install a solar roof

There are a number of factors that can influence just how long it will take to install a solar roof. The size of your roof is a big one. If you have an average-sized solar roof, that's about 400 square feet. You have a pretty large solar roof, that's more like 800 square feet, and fewer than you probably think, but that's still pretty big. For a roof of that size, you can count on that installation to take at least in the direction of a week if you're on the ball and if the installers are on the ball as well. Not accounting for weather, which could easily push things back a day or two in either direction if the installers don't want to work while it's storming or too hot or if they need to get the roof dried back out.

What is the average cost of installing a solar roof

Installing a solar roof can be a big investment, and the cost of it can range widely, depending on several variables. The average cost (before any tax credits or rebates) can range from $65,000 to $70,000 for a solar roof. If your roof is larger than average, that's a number that's going to go up. If you use solar tiles, that's a number that's going to go up. If you live in an area where the average cost of electricity is low, that's a number that's definitely going to go up because you're obviously going to pay much more for a solar roof than you'd pay for a system of rooftop solar panels.

Will a solar roof work in areas with limited sunlight

Even in places with constrained solar access, solar roofs can still shine. How well they do shine in less than ideal conditions, however, is an open question. Because modern solar technologies are much better at harnessing indirect sunlight than their older counterparts, they are not hopeless in the kind of overcast that characterizes parts of Germany—which, to this day, has some of the highest concentrations of solar electricity in the world. On the other hand, if your house is shadowed by big trees, has a roof that faces the North Pole, or is in a desert wadi, then you might want to steer clear of solar roofs.

How much maintenance does a solar roof require

Typically low-maintenance systems, solar roofs nonetheless require some intermittent attention to maintain optimum performance. Regular cleaning is advisable, usually once or twice a year, and is said to remove enough surface buildup to allow "the amount of light that reaches the cells to be comparable to if the cells were free of obstructions." ... Issues that merit a call to a repair technician might include (1) an unusual amount of water entering the house, (2) a sudden drop in energy production that has not been warranted by the apparent amount of cloud cover, or (3) cracks or other appearance alterations seen when inspecting the roof.

Many factors determine if an entirely solar roof can completely power an average American house. In many cases, the answer is that a solar roof can. American houses generally have enough roof area to accommodate a solar PV system capable of producing, at peak production times, an amount of electricity that is equivalent to the amount of electricity that an average American house consumes over the course of a year. But here's where it gets tricky: Even if a house has the kind of roof that can accommodate a solar electrical system, and even if the solar roof itself is designed and installed by professionals who know what they're doing, there are still a good number of houses that can't go solar.
There are several ways to manage the surplus energy produced by your solar roof. The most typical is net metering. With net metering, a homeowner’s solar panel system is treated as a small power plant: when the panels produce more energy than the home needs, that energy is routed back to the home’s electric meter. The electric meter spins backward. The solar homeowner essentially receives a credit on his or her next utility bill as compensation for the amount of electricity that was sent back to the grid. This solar credit can be used to lower the homeowner’s electric bill for anywhere from 3 to 12 months, depending on the homeowner’s situation.
Solar roofs are built to stand the test of time. They are designed to be as durable as—as well as to last as long as—any kind of roofing material on the market. They come, on average, with warranties in the range of 25 to 30 years, although many components may hold up even longer (the cells may keep making power for 30 to 40 years). The power-plants that solar roof systems constitute are wedded to the roofing material in such a way that the part of the solar roof system that does the actual "roofing" may actually outlast the part that does the "solar."
Although various kinds of solar technology can be installed on different roof types, not all roofs are right for solar. First and foremost, a good solar roof is one that's in good condition and isn't going to need replacing halfway through the life of the solar system. Then, some roofs naturally slope toward the sun better than others, which are the south-facing or sunbelt roofs: south, southeast, or southwest. Finally, some roofing materials are solar-ready, while others (like our own asphalt shingles, which don't have a long life compared to modern tiles and slates) are not.
